The Illusionist Finally Brings the Magic to Blu-ray on June 8th

You can bring home a classic magical tale in high definition this June. The Illusionist will be released on Blu-ray on June 8. We don't have any pricing details on this new high-def disc as of yet, but you can take a look at the new cover art and special features below. It was also said that this new BD disc will also come with a standard DVD copy as well. The film stars Edward Norton, Jessica Biel, Paul Giamatti, Rufus Sewell, Eddie Marsan and Aaron Johnson.

The Illusionist Blu-ray

The Illusionist is the story of a magician in turn-of-the-century Vienna who falls in love with a woman who becomes engaged to a prince. He then uses his powers to win her back and undermine the stability of the royal house of Vienna.

    I actually thought this was better than Prestige. Much better and more satisfying ending, but I definitely loved Prestige as well.

    I liked the Illusionist but I think The Prestige is a better crafted story that plays out with more interesting dynamics in terms of character and atmosphere.

    If you liked this, watch The Prestige. Way better film that is similar in concept and execution but directed by Christopher Nolan with Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale. It's amazing.
