Acclaimed YA writer Stephenie Meyer is trading vampires for aliens in the upcoming adaptation based on her latest novel series The Host. Saoirse Ronan stars as a young woman who makes a psychic connection with the extraterrestrial life form sent to earth to possess her, and help overtake the planet. Diane Kruger is the villain of the story, playing "The Seeker", another alien in ruthless pursuit of Saoirse Ronan's Melanie and her infestation known as Wanda (aka The Wanderer). The Host was released March 29th, 2013 and stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Diane Kruger, William Hurt, Rachel Roberts, Stephen Rider, Emily Browning, Jake Abel. The film is directed by Andrew Niccol.
