Production is currently under way on The Host, director Andrew Niccol's adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel which is set for release March 29, 2013. Open Road Films is hosting a contest for this upcoming adaptation, which gives one lucky fan a chance to appear in the first trailer.

All you have to do is Click Here! to "Like" the Facebook page, and you're entered in this contest for The Host. It isn't known when a winner will be determined, or when the first trailer will premiere.

The Host stars Saoirse Ronan as Melanie, one of the few humans remaining after an alien race dubbed Souls have taken over planet earth. These microscopic organisms can take over a human mind and control a human body, and Melanie is one of the last few humans who have not been infected. However, when a legendary Soul dubbed The Wanderer takes over Melanie, she puts up a fight that the Souls haven't encountered before, and the Soul begins to relate to its host.

The Host was released March 29th, 2013 and stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Diane Kruger, William Hurt, Rachel Roberts, Stephen Rider, Emily Browning, Jake Abel. The film is directed by Andrew Niccol.

    For those defending this book, what did u think of Twilight? that will give me a better grasp of if this is worth paying attention to.

    if ur saying this is good and ppl are just down on it cuz of the author, but u also liked Twilight, then i'll probably ignore ur recommendations. u know what i mean.

    Great book. Very creative. Those thumbing it down because its from the writer of Twilight are just stuck-up *ssholes not willing to give it a chance for that reason only.

    I swear if Meyer wrote The Hunger Games no one on here would be as excited for the movie as they are.
