@matertua-lee-loyer I guess it IS impossable to mention Vendetta without someone having to bring some sort of IDEAL into it. I am just a Hugo Weaving fan. My ideal is good acting.

@comicbookfan and dont forget V for Vendetta. Even tho his face was hidden througout he still shined thru the mask.
"The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous."

You people who think it's just coincidental that Hugo Weaving appears on the Hobbit set the same week Peter Jackson announces there'll be a Rivendell script meeting crack me up. He's there to do a job, not just chat with old pals. Weaving has a tight schedule this year, so if he's to film Rivendell scenes, it has to be between now and July. Also, he rarely shaves off his beard unless a gig requires it. ;) I would guess he's there now for the script meeting and possibly costume tests and other premilinaries. PJ has been very coy about announcing the return of LOTR cast members with minor roles in The Hobbit. But he wouldn't tease us like this, nor would Hugo Weaving, if they weren't going to follow through with Hugo portraying Elrond again.

@shuabert exactly, this just brings me joy to see though since they are filming as we speak and theoretically they'd be getting to the house of elrond chapter soon.

This may not be confirmation he's in the movie, but it's certainly not a bad sign if he's on set. I honestly don't know how they could possibly NOT have him in it. If Jackson is going all out to bring back characters like Legolas and Frodo who aren't even IN the novel, someone who plays as big of a role as Elrond is pretty much guaranteed.

Cool cool. Even if he wasn't in it, nice to see him visiting old friends.
