The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Trailer Announcement Video

Director Peter Jackson took to his Facebook page earlier today and announced that the latest trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will debut Wednesday, September 19. The trailer will be a part of J.R.R. Tolkien Week, celebrating the 75th Anniversary of The Hobbit's publication. There will also be some "special content" the director will be sharing with the fans, so stay tuned all week for all the latest news regarding The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Peter Jackson Announces Second Full Length Trailer


The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was released December 14th, 2012 and stars Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Ken Stott, Graham McTavish, William Kircher, James Nesbitt, Stephen Hunter. The film is directed by Peter Jackson.

    Bring it on. I really hope they don't show Smaug in this at all. Presumably if he's even in this first movie it will be a tease right at the end, so to spoil that in the trailer would just be wrong.
