Halle Berry set for The Hive
The fast-paced thriller is set in a 911 emergency call center, and focuses on Halle Berry's character, a 911 operator who tries to save a teenage girl from a serial killer, even if it means she must face her own fears in the process. Back in April, Joel Schumacher was set to direct, although he later dropped out. Brad Anderson (The Machinist, Transsiberian) stepped in to direct in January.
Brad Anderson will direct from a script by Richard D'Ovidio (13 Ghosts), with Michael A. Helfant and Jeffrey Graup producing for Troika. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions will distribute The Hive domestically, with Sierra/Affinity handling international distribution. Production will begin this summer in Los Angeles.
The Call was released March 15th, 2013 and stars Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin, Morris Chestnut, Michael Eklund, David Otunga, Michael Imperioli, Justina Machado, José Zúñiga. The film is directed by Brad Anderson.

Well, going from Schumacher (Batman Forever, Batman & Robin) to a guy who directed The Machinist/Transsiberian sounds like a big upgrade.
