20th Century Fox has debuted the first trailer for The Heat, Bridesmaids director Paul Feig's new comedy that turns the buddy cop genre on its ear. Sandra Bullock stars as a prim and proper FBI agent who is forced to team up with a crass Boston cop (Melissa McCarthy). Watch as these opposing forces collide in the new footage from this upcoming comedy. Despite what you may think, this is not a theatrical remake of TNT's Rizzoli & Isles (or the sequel to Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous).

The Heat - Trailer

Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence--and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.'s "finest," is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. The Heat comes to theaters June 28th, 2013 and stars Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy, Kaitlin Olson, Taran Killam, Raw Leiba, Michael Rapaport, Thomas F. Wilson, Demián Bichir. The film is directed by Paul Feig.
