The Hangover Part II Trailer Gets Pulled from The Source Code

Warner Bros. found themselves in a spot of trouble today, as they were required to pull all trailers for The Hangover Part II out of theaters. This new footage from Todd Phillips's upcoming R rated comedy sequel was attached to prints of the PG-13 rated Source Code, which debuted this past weekend.

There wasn't anything wrong with the footage, per se. The problem came with the fact that the MPAA had not okayed the trailer to run with this particular film. Warner Bros. issued a statement, which you can read below.

"In our haste to meet the placement schedule for this trailer, we failed to properly vet the final version with the MPAA. We acted immediately to correct the mistake and removed the trailer from screens."

Don't worry if you missed the latest trailer for The Hangover Part II. A third version is already in the works, and will be attached to prints of Scream 4 in two weeks, when that sequel debuts on April 15th. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer in question, once again in the clip below.

The Hangover Part II was released May 26th, 2011 and stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, Jamie Chung, Paul Giamatti, Nick Cassavetes. The film is directed by Todd Phillips.

Source Code was released April 1st, 2011 and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, Jeffrey Wright, Michael Arden, Cas Anvar, Russell Peters, Brent Skagford. The film is directed by Duncan Jones.

This is hilarious. I even felt the final joke was too raunchy for the "appropriate audiences" banner.
