The Hangover 2 production begins in November
After the wildly successful box office run of The Hangover, the sequel The Hangover 2 was inevitable, although it could start shooting sooner than most expected. Collider spoke with The Hangover and The Hangover 2 director Todd Phillips, who revealed the film won't be set in Mexico or Thailand, as it was earlier rumored, and he also revealed when they would start shooting. Here's an excerpt of the site's interview.

There's a lot of talk that The Hangover 2 is going to Thailand.

Todd Phillips: I don't know. There's a lot of rumors. There was rumor also that it was going to Mexico or something and neither are true.

When are you starting to film The Hangover 2?

Todd Phillips: November.

Really?

Todd Phillips: The 1st. That's what we're trying, but you know a lot of it has to do with Ed Helms' Office schedule and Bradley Cooper's other movies. Right now our goal is to start shooting November 1st.

We reported last week that Ed Helms's project Central Intelligence had been delayed, which would free him up to film The Hangover 2 and now it seems The Office scheduling could get in the way now.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any and all details about The Hangover 2 as soon as we have more information.

The Hangover was released June 5th, 2009 and stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Heather Graham, Sasha Barrese, Jeffrey Tambor, Ken Jeong. The film is directed by Todd Phillips.

The Hangover Part II was released May 26th, 2011 and stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, Jamie Chung, Paul Giamatti, Nick Cassavetes. The film is directed by Todd Phillips.

I didn't expect a sequel either, but not mad there making another one, I enjoyed the ride and i'll probably enjoy the this one, maybe they add new characters, Zach drugs them again, maybe we see what really happened in the blackout, whatever I think its going to be good, too many people condemn a sequel before they even see it

TheBookwasbetter Zach Galifianakis has been in a couple of movies, just ones we haven't seen, there was one out that suppose to be good but was an independent, plus hes a comedian, hes got work

    Cell you're an idiot

and I agree Rstars you can can have a good sequel, look at Alien and Aliens, Batman Begins and the Dark Knight, The Boondocks Saints and Boondocks Saints II, Evil Dead and Evil Dead II, Infernal Affairs and part II, just to name some more that have had a great first and second.

Now I think Twilight should have never had a sequel or a first, but thats a tangent, and I may not have seen this but from what I gather Avatar doesn't need a sequel, but I haven't seen it yet, what I'm basically saying is judge the movie after you see it

NO! Not a sequel, this movie does not need a sequel. Nothing can surpass the first, another one is just plain stupid.

I loved the Hangover, but it's the last movie I thought needed a sequel. It's perfectly fine by itself.

Unnecessary. The first one was funny, but not nearly as good as people made it out to be, and it was mostly thanks to Galifianakis' naivete. Todd Phillips likes to live vicariously through his man-boy characters' debauchery, which is why those characters are never likeable.

Who cares .... I thought the "Hangover" was forgettable!!! A film years from now we will look back on and wonder what we laughed at!

I know I saw it in theaters, but it wasn't "THAT" funny ...More Over-Rated!

The hangover was a good stand alone film. In my opinion it didnt need a sequel. When i walked out of the theatre I didnt think" Gee i sure hope they make a sequel" I feel that the story line went as far as it could go. This is destine to fail. "Hollywood..... Your greedy bastard!!!!

i dont think that they should make a sequel it becuase it might be like the first one to get drunk and one of their friends goes missing. so this is a mistake to another one

"You can't capture lightning in a bottle twice." Sure you Can. A Lot of People can't wait for the next sequel to come out. I wish we Didn't have to wait till all the way to June, July 2011 to see it!! Theres plenty of people in the world that have special abilities to think about the way countless movies are writen. They are Very Creative and as seen with the Twilight triolgy sequels they Can be Great. Another example is Star Wars. I admit I don't like sequels that much but the ones I do like, I'm Happy they were made when they were!

All I did was look at The Office for one episode and Didn't like the foul language, so Didn't watch it again! I don't mean swearing but saying something out of bounds that I Wouldn't watch.

This is tough because the office has been boring as hell lately and to be honest. the only reason the hangover even did so well was because it was a surprise hit. no one was really led on by the trailer that it was going to be all that great. im actually thinking hot tub time machine is going to be this years hangover. dumb idea with no expectations usually have a shot.

i dont know, if i were him id free myself from the office, sadly its a sinking ship.
