Hitting theaters February 5th, the thriller centers on a low-ranking intelligence operative (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) working in the office of the U.S. Ambassador in France takes on more than he bargained for when he partners with a wisecracking, fast-shooting, high-ranking U.S. agent (John Travolta) who's been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack.
The film also stars Kasia Smutniak, Amber Rose Revah, Melissa Mars, Richard Durden and Farid Elouard.
From Paris with Love was released February 5th, 2010 and stars John Travolta, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kasia Smutniak, Richard Durden, Yin Bing, Amber Rose Revah, Eric Godon, François Bredon. The film is directed by Pierre Morel.

drewskei, i think the title is a little poke at the james bond title, and took the title as, i guess you can say, almost like a lil joke in a way. you know, its all for sh*ts and giggles. i love seeing travolta in these roles as well, i LLLOOOVED him in pelham 123, and loved him in swordfish as well. and this movie just looks kick ass as hell!!!! this looks like a movie that i will love, but everyone else is going to hate. and then i get sh*t for loving the hell outta it......i hate when that happens......

probably a rental. looks decent and unlike most commenters, i actually like this sort of character for travolta (i think he is at his best in roles like this and Pelham). Meyers is also a great cast for the part. my issue is that it seems too cliche a plot. it's a buddy cop flick, but with terrorism and foreign affairs. one's the teacher, one's the wise-cracking "kid". even the "action" seems overdone (cliche slow-motion clip being dropped from the gun, jason bourne-styled fight sequences, blah blah blah). i want to see it b/c of travolta and meyers, but will wait for bluray.

This trailer almost looks like a parody. I expected the title to be 'NOT ANOTHER ACTION FILM', that's pretty much the cliched look/plot/dialouge of this crap. Luc besson has also gotten lazy, hence letting his disciple Pierre Morel take over.
Travolta hasn't entertained me since SWORDFISH. But what was his last 'challenging' performance, THIN RED LINE, PULP FICTION. The guy is a limted & overrated actor. Jon Rhys should have waited signed on for a better actioner. But i guess THE TURDORS checks have stopped coming but the bills keep piling :)

Sorry to say ...but it looks like atypical "High-Action", with a mindless plot! ... Actually (LOL!) I have seen the film poster for this for severla months now ..& well, The film poster looks really cool....A pop-art throw back to European cinema from the 60's ....But now, after I have seen the trailer, & I'm like whatever ... RENTAL!

The film poster "From Paris With Love" makes the film out to be some James Bond meets Jason Bourne hybrid ...but then the trailer LQQks like every other action film!
