The newspaper has posted a story with 8 images including the whole Speed Racer gang including Racer X, Spritle, Chim Chim, Tixi and Pops.
to check out the entire article and the rest of the images!Based on the classic 1960s series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida that later was retooled for North American audiences, the big-screen film will follow the adventures of the young race car driver Speed in his quest for glory in his thundering gadget-laden vehicle, Mach 5. The movie will feature other characters from the show, including Speed's family and his mysterious archrival, Racer X.
Speed Racer arrives in theatres on May 9th, 2008.
Speed Racer was released May 9th, 2008 and stars Emile Hirsch, Nicholas Elia, Susan Sarandon, Melissa Holroyd, Ariel Winter, Scott Porter, Gian Ganziano, Peter Fernandez. The film is directed by Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski.

Um, I'm gonna have to say, what the heck!? I personally didn't like the idea of making this into a feature film and by the looks of it I may have been right. To me it still looks like a cartoon. If you're gonna have a movie look like a cartoon then it should be a cartoon film not a live action motion picture, Honestly I still don't know if I wanna see this or not, most likely no but we'll see as more pictures and the trailer comes out.

I don't know about the track it looks too fake. Yea.. the ones in the old show were mostly mountains with giant waterfalls or gaps he would have to get over.Also it kinda reminds me of willy Wonka by its looks.

What is interesting is that according to producer Joel Silver, this movie is going to be largely or entirely shot in front of the green screen like "300"!

Looks like a live cartoon, not the gritty realism that is standard for every movie. The bottom race picture looks wicked. The car appears to have 4 wheel steering...the Wachowskis will deliver again.
