An eccentric professor (Hanks) decides to go criminal and committ a huge heist of a New Orleans riverboat casino. After the gang of thieves is assembled they rent a room from an elderly lady who finds out about their plan. The location of the room the thieves are renting is crucial to their plan so they decide to get rid of the old woman, which proves harder than they thought.
