Disney's A Christmas Carol, a multi-sensory thrill ride re-envisioned by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, captures the fantastical essence of the classic Dickens tale in a groundbreaking 3D motion picture event.
Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk (Gary Oldman) and his cheery nephew (Colin Firth). But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it's too late.
Disney's a Christmas Carol was released November 6th, 2009 and stars Jim Carrey, Steve Valentine, Daryl Sabara, Sage Ryan, Amber Gainey Meade, Ryan Ochoa, Bobbi Page, Ron Bottitta. The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis.

What is wrong with you people? Your picking out such little, pointless things. Wow, his hand is shaped oh so slightly so it's somehow a horror? Jim Carrey was great, and he's going to be like Britany Spears and make a big come-back with this movie. Just watch.

That may be; but there's only a few good adaptations. By the looks of it (Jim Carrey, Robert Zemeckis, Jim Carrey & of course, Jim Carrey), this will be the best.

I love Robert Zemeckis' movies and have always really enjoyed Jim Carrey going all the way back to "In Living Color". But do we really need another "A Christmas Carol"? Aren't there about 30 versions of this story on film?
BTW, it seems like Carrey's torch has dimmed quite a bit. "Yes Man", "The Number 23", "Fun with Dick and Jane", even "Horton Hears a Who!" have all done mediocre business. He needs some breakout movie to get back in the game because, when you get right down to it, he's brilliant.
