The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Curious George Top the Charts

Universal had a lot to smile on the home video front last week.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio took the top two spots on VideoScan's First Alert sales chart with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Curious George.

The Lake House came in at No. 3, while other new titles like One Tree Hill: The Complete Third Season debuted at No. 8, the Fast and Furious Franchise Collection came in at No. 18 and Bratz: Passion 4 Fashion Diamondz rounded things out at No. 20.

On the rental side, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift came in at No. 3 while Lucky Number Slevin continued to reap rewards in the No. 2 spot.

It is interesting to note that Lucky Number Slevin has earned $20.5 million on DVD in three weeks. This comes out to about 90% of it's $22.5 million theatrical take.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was released June 16th, 2006 and stars Lucas Black, Damien Marzette, Trula M. Marcus, Zachery Ty Bryan, Brandon Brendel, Daniel Booko, David V. Thomas, Amber Stevens. The film is directed by Justin Lin.
