Liam Hemsworth joins The Expendables 2 cast
The 21-year-old actor will portray a sniper in The Expendables 2, and he will be the youngest cast member in the sequel, by far. Sylvester Stallone returns in The Expendables 2 along with Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis. Original The Expendables cast members Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews, and Randy Couture are expected to return for the sequel as well.
Simon West will direct The Expendables 2 from a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone. Production is scheduled to start later this month.
The Expendables 2 was released August 17th, 2012 and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film is directed by Simon West.

I am ok with Hemsworth but this movie is getting polluted with actors. I love action films but if you get to know each character you care more about if they survive. Too many actors and you end up with expensive window dressing.

Just be happy it aint Lautner. Besides, Chris Hemsworth is a great actor so maybe some of his acting chops rubbed off onto Liam. I have never seen him act so I can't judge him but I have a feeling that he might be good.

SOME ARE REALLY EXPENDABLE- Meh, Van Damme and Norris couldn't give this franchise justice, I think. Neither could Wahlberg or Lautner. I think that Liam Hemsworth will be a great addition or a few other actors. What happened to Christopher Lambert? I wanted to see him in this! Some characters work and others are expendable!
