@Nicholaus - That Arrogant Sham! I understand what you're saying but there were some self mutilations in the original. They're just taking it over the top. We'll have to see. I can see the vibe that you're talking about. The only thing I don't like is that it seems to be quick and in your face. The original took some time to get started to set the mood and I think that that's why the original gets so many accolades from fans like myself. All I can say is, after years of our asking for a sequel, this is what he got. It all we have right now, so eat the dish they served you or push it away. @skywise, love that term "Evil Deadish".

that was just- something else its not trying to be Raimis its trying to be a new era of horror- its something im telling you- and to put it in league with hostile and everything else is a sham- dont go hating this before you have finally watched it- evil dead is one of them ost impacting series going- this to me looks far out_ Nick doesnt know what it means to make a horror movie in obvious lookings. @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx i will still check this out just out of curiosity but what I have seen so far doesnt really feel Evil Deadish.
I saw Martyrs and it is a very unique movie. Its got a litle something for any horor fan and is quite disturbing in some places. Unfortunatly., with all that you have heard about how good it is you might be disapointed. I feel that the more hype a film gets, the higher my expectations....the quicker those expectations are shattered. I prefer going in to a movie not having seen or read much about it.

B) The vibe/trailer.
C) It's a horror movie in 2012.
After watching this trailer, could you seriously post that with a straight face? How many images of self-mutilation alone did we witness in such a short trailer? It's a tip of the iceberg, from my standpoint.

These are demon possesed people who kill from a demon standpoint, not because they're twisted Humans who want to get off on taking a person's life in some twisted way.
