Shiloh Fernandez lands the male lead in The Evil Dead
The story centers on a group of friends who head up to a remote cabin for the weekend, where they unwittingly unleash a demonic force after reading from The Book of the Dead. It is said that the role was highly sought after by young actors, although it is not said who else was in contention for the role.
Lily Collins was attached as the female lead in The Evil Dead, but we reported last month that the actress was forced to drop out, due to scheduling conflicts. As of now, Shiloh Fernandez is the only confirmed cast member in this The Evil Dead remake.
Federico Alvarez is directing The Evil Dead from a script he co-wrote with Rodolfo Sayagues, which was rewritten by Diablo Cody. Production is scheduled to start next month in New Zealand.
Evil Dead was released April 5th, 2013 and stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, Elizabeth Blackmore, Phoenix Connolly, Jim McLarty, Sian Davis. The film is directed by Fede Alvarez.

I actually like Shiloh i think he did the best he could with what he had in Red Riding Hood. Alot of people criticize his acting in that movie but i think it was the script. The role was cut down to make the movie shorter.
