Is this the end or just a new beginning for Veronica Mars?

According to The Hollywood Reporter , show creator Rob Thomas has come up with an idea to fast-forward a couple of years and have Mars studying at the FBI Academy. As a freshman at Hearst College, Mars (Kristen Bell) has been taking criminology classes and been looking to do an internship at the FBI.)

According to Moviehole, the show is cancelled and won't be back for a fourth season on The CW. Tina Majorino's representatives say The CW has cancelled the show; the four remaining episodes of season three are scheduled to air sometime in May.
