The Dark Knight Rises the Fire Rises Viral Videos
A new Youtube channel called The Fire Rises have posted three short videos which show fires raging across Gotham City. Anthony Michael Hall appears in the final short clip as the news anchor Engel, who was originally featured in The Dark Knight. This third clip also leads to a Facebook Page containing an image of Matthew Modine as Nixon, who is believed to be one of Batman's many enemies this time around. Is this viral marketing for The Dark Knight Rises? Or are fans making free commercials for Warner Bros.? Check out the videos and image below, then decide for yourself.

The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

These are fake. The user's YouTube channel has been deleted. Can't have a hack ruining Warner's good-viral-marketing name. Plus, at the end of this month, a marketing campaign should start to take flight. But don't expect a full campaign until around Christmas. But you didn't hear that from me. ;D

I think this is real and here's why. First video if you look at the fire footage there are big buildings in the mid ground and the building in the background which is on fire looks like a skyscraper (an entire skyscraper on fire that would have been all over the news) footage must have been done with a state of the art effects package. second video shows the same freeway/subway used in the dark knight.

Uhhhh....yeah, O.K. Why did I just watch this??? The "leaked" photo of Heath Ledger as the Joker was waaaay more effective...this just looked like a clip from an old KMFDM video or some s#it.

The Narrator: The Better Man
The viral marketing from the last film was amazingly well done. If these clips are of any indication of what this films marketing campaign will look like, and if authentic, it seems as though sh*t will just get crazier.
One things true: this definitely seems to be taking a more personal tone once more, which is a good thing. Here's to a. hopefully, amazing film experience.

@zanyzap...LOL thats funny cuz i was picturing the scene in the Matrix when i was writing that :P, unless Bats goes to that fort in india that they showed was the training grounds for the League, goes to confront Bane and they fight in the courtyard with everyone chanting and watching, idk, i just know its gotta have some significance to the movie and wonder how Nolan will include it

ZanyZap
@bane5000: Maybe, but I'm betting that it happens during or shortly after the Arkham breakout, with the inmates doing the chanting, if it happens at all. Your idea sounds a bit hokey, too much cheese, Matrix Revolution crap; if anyone can pull that off though, it's Nolan.
