    actually the best route would be flat Green Screen heels, which is most probably what Nolan will do

    Oh yeah, and i watched American Psycho for about the billionth time the other day, man Bale was ripped in that movie, i think maybe he should get in shape like he was in that movie this time around for Bats

    He looks like he is ready to kick Bales ass! Lol! He is going to be great as Bane. and I know Nolan won't jack him up like they did in Batman and Robin. They made Bane look pathetic.

    @thrashnasty190...I say we start wishing its next year around this coming August, that way we can get all of this years summer blockbusters still then skip over to next years movies :]

    @jptheredskull...true my friend, hey didnt they use the same shoe lift idea in the first X-Men with James Marsden in scenes with Wolverine to make Cyke look taller then him, i think i read that somehwere...oh well still didnt help making Wolvie seem shorter in the sequels...

  16. J.P.

    @bane5000 Yeah. That's the best route to go. The use of camera angles, a body double and maybe lifts in Hardy's shoes could definitely give him that towering look Bane has without sacrificing the no-cgi heavy franchise Nolan's Batman series has become.

  18. Bane5000

    @messenger...i think if they go that route of using camera angels and such to make Hardy appear bigger as Bane would be awesome, hes got to be bigger and more intimidating to Batman, i can imagine a camera shot in front of Batman and Bane walks up from behind towering over him and a fight is on...

    @jptheredskull...BAAAANNNEEEE LOL, yeah that was a shame and disgrace of what they did to Bane in Batman and Robin, hell the CGI Hulk in TIH acted better :]

    @jptheredskull Batman: 6'2" Bane: 5'10" seeing the height difference now, yeah I agree with you, make Tom Hardy appear 6'10" next to Bales 6'2". Seems perfect to me if they do that now :)

  23. J.P.

    @ghostman He doesn't even need to be feet taller than Batman. In the comics, Bane is 6 foot 8 inches. They need to add a foot to Hardy's 5'10.
    If they don't do this, Bane won't be very opposing seeing that Bale (Batman) is 6'2.

  24. Lord McLovin of MovieWeb

    @messenger as much as I liked the technique they used for that, I think they would most likely digitize his size on screen so he can appear 2-3 feet taller than Batman, I don't want him Hulk sized or anything. Not to mention, how would they choreograph the physical fight scenes if Hardy is standing 4 feet away from from Christian Bale?

    @ghostman @jptheredskull

    If you go and watch the Hobbit first day shoot video they talk about (I think) on how they got some of the shots in TFOTR. The one really cool one was when Frodo is riding on the buggy with Gandolf and when the cam is at almost to the front of Gandolf and Frodo but slighty towards Gandolf. It's hiding the fact Frodo is sitting 4 feet behind Gandolf but on screen it looks perfect.

    @dowhatwedo That can be contributed as partially the reason as to why he's playing Bane, but I'm sure it was mostly because of his role in Charles Bronson that convinced Nolan to sign on Hardy as Bane.

    I'm sure when we see him on screen, all the Bane fans will have a hardy for Hardy. Har Har.
