The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

@narrator: And it's not much different than the other teaser poster they're all referring to, being the one with the flaming bat signal in the building, which implied terrorism, aka: Chaos. The bat signal implied batman being responsible in some form or another, as he did take the fall for Dent's crimes. This poster seems to imply that gotham will once again be prey to a destructive force, aka: The League of Shadows which will strike harder than before, leaving batman to redeem himself as he rises to overcome the new evil. Symbolism runs rampant in both posters. I can't wait to see their presumed character posters in 6 months or so. Not to mention the real 2 minute teaser trailer that'll probably be tagged with "A Game of Shadows" this December.

Don't go comparing this to TDK's "Welcome to a world without rules" poster too much, guys. This is a teaser poster. The Dark Knight's teaser poster was merely a Joker smiley face on a brick wall, with the lips forming a bat. Now that was a modest teaser poster. But this? This is a fantastic TEASER poster.
Jeez, I'd love to see you folk actually do better... though, I know some of you actually can. But that's beside the point, damn it!
