Has anyone in the Nolan camp actually confirmed that that green screen set is the Lazarus Pit, or is @movieweb just speculating?

AMEN.. The Tumbler was the best batmobile EVER. i hope the new1 will b epic too! i liked alot of the toys batman had thru out his batman movies, from the batmobiles to his bat wing, bat boat, bat pod, they were all great, the downside of them is that they used them in bad scenes. In other words... batman forever..we didnt get to see what the batboat could do. it got blown up way to soon.

I still accept that the last pic of the temple could be the League of Shadows training grounds

@jasonkat...I miss the Tumbler, that was the perfect assualt vehicle for Batman, and the chase scene in Begins is classic Bats vs The Law

While most of u r wondering what the lazarus pit will look like, im more curious what the new batmobile will look like. and if the batpot will return or not. among his new home too.

Didn't think they would get into the whole Lazarus Pit thing... interesting.

Inception and Prestige use illogical means to complete their stories. Traveling into dreams and creating doppelgangers through a machine? Why not throw in some mysticism into a Batman movie.

if not the lazarus pit, then what else could it be??

im not super familiar with all the in and outs of batman so i can't say either way if it is or not. one thing i do know after being on this site for a while. the movieweb writing staff tend to talk out of their butts sometimes. just because they say this is the lazarus pit in no way means it actually is. not to mention i doubt they have some super secret inside info that no one else does. im going to have to agree with some of the arguments that its a tad unrealistic for nolan to have said 'pit.' but on the other hand, what some of you guys are describing as the lazarus pit is just as realistic as bruce wayne curling ras al ghul's body weight (which is also dead weight since he's unconscious) while hanging off of a mountain by little spikes on the side of his arm when he saves him after the explosion in batman begins. so i say let the speculation begin!

  15. Pjwolsker

@TheKingofThorns it IS possible that Nolan can use the Lazarus Pit. i said this in a different article but when it comes down to it, this is a comic book/superhero movie. theres going to be some stuff that isnt realistic. Nolan has done a good job doing that. if the pit is in it then ill be fine with that

  16. Pjwolsker

well there's supposed to be a flash back of Ra's al Gul in this. maybe he uses the Lazarus Pitt then

  17. Funkster

I still doubt the Larazus Pit is going to be in this movie. More likely the green screen is standing in for a bottomless pit or an entrance to a cave, mine, bunker or something like that. And if it was the Lazarus Pit, Nolan would probably do it with practical effects rather than CGI, being how Nolan loves him some practical effects and todays technology would make it easy to create a bubbling, mystical water pit.

  18. The King of Thorns

It's not the lazarus pit. Seriously, there's so many things that green screen can stand for, it's pathetic. Does it seem like Nolan would have any of the characters utilize a lazarus pit in his universe? OF course not.

Maybe, just maybe, Ra's comes back as his youthful former self after using the Lazarus Pit. Hence, Josh Pence... fun little thought.

  20. Superman81

I would say this is probably the Lazarus Pit. And it only spoils that Talia will probably be in it. I would love to see Liam Neeson come back since the Lazarus Pit has the capability. It's going to be an awesome movie for sure. I'm more interested in how they approach Bane. I hope its comic style yet believable

  21. Bane5000

I thought nolan was swearing up and down he would not go with the Lazarus Pit cuz its to mystical and not reality based as his films are...oh well, BRING ON THE LAZARUS PIT :]

Does anyone else consider this spoilerish. I know this is a big upcoming film, but it's like, the bigger the are, the more spoilers there are. And I would hope movieweb would have more integrity than that. But whatever, that's just me.
