The Dark Knight Rises Mystery Masked Man Set Photo

A new photo from the UK based Croydon set of The Dark Knight Rises has emerged, and it actually showcases some of director Christopher Nolan's action prowess. This image is of a mysterious masked man climbing through the window of a skyscraper. Some speculate that it is Tom Hardy as Bane. Or it could be his stuntman. Check out the pic in question below, and decide for yourself.

The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

    I think it is Hush or Black mask I say black mask because if you remember the BIO of black mask in Arkham Asylum he had a white dress shirt and a black tie this looks the same look at the photo and it could be black mask before the mask got burnt to his face

    I can't tell who it is, but it does look to me like they're wearing a jacket or robe... giving the appearance (blurred image) of a really big person. To me it looks like the right-side cut of a person inside the coat.

    It's Bruce Wayne! This is supposed to be a hospital window the guy is jumping out of. Remember the supposed spoiler about Alfred going to the hospital? My guess: Bane attacks Alfred(he knows Bruce is Batman obviously), sending Alfred to the hospital. Then when Bruce shows up to the hospital room to see Alfred, Bane is waiting to ambush him. They fight and Bane jumps out the window first to escape. Bruce knows he can't have people seeing Bruce Wayne chasing after a supervillain so he pulls on a ski mask to hide his face and jumps out the window, too, giving chase to Bane.

    @Mo-25905658 no they dont. first off Nolan wont make Bane that huge like he is in the comics. itd be unreal and wouldnt fit into his world. im guessing youve seen the pics of tom hardy as bane already so you know he is already big. they dont need another person to play him as a big person. thats why Tom Hardy got swoll for the movie

    @pjwolsker Look at what they did with Juggernaut in X-Men. He was supposed to be a man of immense stature but was portrayed as half the man he should have been!! I cant see how they will bring the size of Bane to the big screen!? They would need to recruit a hulk of a body builder to play the character effectively. Maybe someone like... Ryan Watson (at his Super Heavyweight size)

    Maybe it's a surprise appearance by Two Face?? Lol Just playing. Why would Catwoman where a man's suit? Like someone else mentioned, Bane hanging in a window just doesn't seem right. I highly doubt it's Black Mask unless Chris is using CGI to make the mask because that mask looks like a black potato sack lol. I'm guessing it is a villain but not one of the main villains. This looks like it could be part of an opening sequence.

    Hmm.. the camera is facing outward, towards our mysterious figure and the broken window. Think back to the previous films, and you'll find that that type of shot (over-the-shoulder or something similar) is usually reserved for when we're dealing with Bruce. In fact, I only recall them using tight shots behind the characters back with Wayne involved. I believe it helps add to the overall feeling of us following Bruce's story, which this is. Idk, it doesn't quite add up, but my bet is that we're following a character that's not a main villain (Levitt's been mentioned), or even possible Bale's character. Definitely not a major villain, as it's not Catwoman, and Bane hanging from a window seems unappealing. I'm probably reaching here, but that's my theory.

    to the people who thing its Bane... its not Bane. that guy in the window is way to tiny for Bane. and for the people who think its Black Mask.. its not. that mask just looks like an ordinary mask someone would use to rob a bank
