The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

    I seriously doubt its acid burns, look at the pics below and you can see Banes arms up close and that make up isnt like that. its just to cover the tats.

    Make up to conceal tattoos in movies are airbrushed, and is flush with the skin (you cant see the make up), this make-up is intentional to look this way. My best guess is to make them look like burns, from fire, or acid. Best bet is Acid Burns.
