The Dark Knight Rises Ending Will Be 100% Visual Effects

Director Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises is currently in its final stretch of production in Los Angeles, working towards a release date of July 20, 2012. Boom operator and sound recordist Frederick Roche recently revealed some interesting information about the production through his Twitter account, indicating that the ending will be completely done with visual effects. Take a look at what he had to say below.

The Dark Knight Rises Tweet #1
"#thedarkknightrises technical info: The ending sequence is soo secret that only 5 (Includ Nolan) know it and will be done completely in vfx."

The Dark Knight Rises Tweet #2
"#thedarkknightrises technical info: They are shooting on #IMAX Yes But shooting with the film in portrait! so essentially 105mm."

This information should be taken with a grain of salt, though, since Frederick Roche isn't currently listed as a production member on The Dark Knight Rises. It is possible that he is working on the movie, but hasn't been added to the IMDB page as of yet.

The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

    @ChiRep-1 He doesn't go into in-depth and spoil the ending in no way or form... His statements actually make the ending sound more climatic than any movieweb article lol.

    His awesome, his a friend of mine, he was at the TTSS premiere and we managed to catch up and have a couple of bday drinks. And i agree he can change his image which makes him brilliant than most actors today

    @jayaottley Thanks for the heads up! just when you 'reveal' anything about TDKR, make it cryptic like Nolan is and don't make it too obvious or spoil it for me :)

    @jayaottley Thanks buddy but no thanks for me. I'd prefer not to have a clue what's going to happen because, after all, it is the ending where talking about.

    I'll read the review cuz I thought Warrior was an excellent movie but make sure to leave the TDKR related news at the end. Jealous that you got to talk to Hardy though, how is he? Every movie he plays has a different personality so idk what to expect lol.

    @ChiRep-1
    I don't see how that could happen, considering that Heath Ledger is no longer alive. Unless, they CGI his face on another actors face and somehow with computer technology, put that on screen in the Dark Knight Rises.

    Y'all need to calm your cotton socks, moviewebbers.

    Remember in the terminology of Nolan CGI and VFX are 2 different technological terms.

    VFX to Nolan is Inception's sequences

    Settle down people, this is most likely just Nolan n' crew spreading more false rumors to cause more hype and excitement for The Dark Knight Rises. We already know that they love to spread rumors!

    @k-man i am with YOU 100% on the fact that i can guaranf*ckingtee that WB has a clause for releasing any info on the film. I still say that WB is purposely throwing sh*t out there to confuse people... especially now since some things have not met with fan approval. I dont think it is a nolan move at all... he has been more story teller than a... well lets say... george lucas alumni.. so i think that possibly there are some visual effects, and who is to say he meant cgi... visual effects are not per se cgi really, but that is the term that most relate it to.
