Juno Temple locked for a street-smart girl in The Dark Knight Rises
The only details about this character are that she is a "street-smart Gotham girl." It is unclear whether she is a previously-known character from the DC comic books or an entirely new character developed by Christopher Nolan.
The Dark Knight Rises now includes previous actors from the franchise such as Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and newcomers like Tom Hardy (Bane), Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle/Catwoman), Marion Cotillard, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Christopher Nolan will direct The Dark Knight Rises, which will start production next month.
The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

@rufio...By all means i understand what ur saying my friend, and i dont mind some secrecy around a film so we dont have to full idea of what its gonna be about and how its gonna play out on screen...but when u get a rumor about the film, and its supposidly confirmed then the next day its debunked, and another rumor and confirmation and debunk and so on and so on, it gets pretty tiresome to even wanna keep up or believe any news that coming out....
I for one cant wait to see this last film and how it closes off Nolans trilogy, and a good tease is good every once in a while, but dont do it constantly, the fun gets taken out of it anticipation after a while, u know what i mean buddy..

@dan1 ITA with @rufio. Part of why I'm so excited for TDKR is because I have no idea where Nolan is going to take us next. And, while it would be nice to let in on the casting, as Rufio said, it may ruin parts of the plot (and perhaps parts that - with hindsight - we may rather not have known). :)

@brady1138, @bane5000, @dan1, @thaphoenix... i for one like the secrecy. the only reason we know as much as we do is b/c of information technology. back in the day you were lucky to get one or two updates in a magazine or newspaper. now we want daily updates and exact info... not for nothing i still like the element of surprise. part of the movie experience.
i agree it'd be nice to be in on casting at least, but maybe knowing would ruin part of the plot (same as knowing JGL character).

Yeah, I'm tired of all this secrecy too. Just tell us who she plays!! Heck, we know who's gonna be in the next Spider-Man and Superman films and who they're gonna play, but that doesn't give away the entire movie!

@thaphoenix I don't need the plot and every minute of the film explained to me before I see it, I just want to know who all the players are. Knowing who will play does not ruin the mystery of the movie, as we know Nolan culls from several sources with each movie. It would allow us to speculate and theorize a little more accurately, but that's fun to do, and ruins nothing. This disinformation campaign is just stupid, though.

I can see your point. But, at the same time, we were kept largely in the dark for Inception and I loved that I went into the cinema not knowing what to expect. I'd rather be surprised when the trailer debuts than know every plot detail/twist/turn now.

@bawnian-dexeus: There were no secrets for "TDK" besides that Harvey would become Two-Face. Whereas Ledger as Joker, the synopsis, title, and release date were announced at the same time on 7/30/06. Of course, we already knew Joker was in it from the ending of the first film, but that carried nothing without knowing the take on the character.
And currently, NO, Cotillard is NOT in this. Seriously, are any other vintage villains whom were female (excluding Catwoman as she was announced already)? If there weren't, and Gary Oldman was telling the truth, then her role seems to either not exist, or be very small, unless a mobster.

@ejk...Atleast when Abrams does it, hes releases info and clues to a movie lil by lil and doesnt give the run around as much, Nolan should do the same, atleast with casting maybe what storyline{s} the movie is taking inspiration from, even though hes putting his own spin to it...
