if they keep this stuff up, their next method of advertising should be sending up an actual Bat-Signal above the theater at the first major premiere lol!

Despite The Dark Knight Rises being highly anticipated, Warnos Bros is sure going out of there way with this viral marketing. I guess they really want TDKR to out do The Avengers.

"Now that's more like it Mr. Wayne."

Reminds me of the marketing they had for Inception, with optical illusion and what-not. This is real marketing, not that photoshopped bullsh*t.

@Julin-Dylan First you say The Avengers was bad... then Batman Forever... then Monsters Inc... Dude, I'm done with you. I'm just going to leave it as you're freakin' crazy.

@Julin-Dylan i wouldn't say that, he is just expressing concerns, not reviewing the movie. And ya Batman Forever, in my opinion, was pretty awful. I THINK he is just upset that this movie has left the comic book world and has taken on MORE of a life like scenario. And sure, to you and myself, its amazing and we couldn't have ever dreamed of having a Batman movie of this caliber. Nolan has taken Batman out of the movie grave it dug itself into, and created something else entirely... A legend, Mr. Wayne.

Not trying to put words in anyone else's mouth.

@Michael-Kolesik Calm down! I think you have 7 year old... I mean, you think that "Batman Forever" "wasn't bad". Well, my brother who has 4 years old think that this movie is too childish. But is ok, you have many movies to watch, like Monster Inc., Ice Age, etc. Good luck! Bye!

@Michael-Kolesik ya, i would have liked to see him in this movie as as a main villain, but i trust in Nolan as he has never failed me once. I'm sorry that you aren't looking forward to this movie. To me, movies of this caliber only happen once from generation to generation. I don't recall last time i was this excited for a movie.

@Julin-Dylan Wow, what are you, 7? Here I am, trying to be civil, and you gotta talk sh*t. Way to show your maturity, bud.
By the way, Batman Forever was a good movie. It wasn't amazing, it wasn't bad, it was just good. Like a 3 out of 5. You wanna talk about legitimacy? I think your 7-year-old rant kinda kills your legitimacy. Go sit down, noob.

Very cool Billboard. I love the Billboards that do something with the structure of the board or add figures or structures to the board. Like those silly Eat More Chicken signs.

    12 months agoby @skywiseFlag

  23. Julián Dylan

@Michael-Kolesik You must separate the structure and the purpose of the movie (what it proposes) from your expectations about the movie itself. Otherwise your criticism lacks legitimacy.

  24. Michael Kolesik

@h0tproperty Oh, I agree he was fantastic. I just wanted to see more of him as a big-time villain like in the comics. He felt more like a secret in-the-shadows assassin in the movie. I guess it's more of a thing of differing styles.

I live just down the street from this. The billboard used to be for Rock of Ages. This is much cooler. Also, that tiny triangular roof in the corner there is the Jim Henson Company (originally Charlie Chaplin's studio)... and across the street is a strip club. Ah my childhood.

@Michael-Kolesik Screen time isn't all that counts. 2-face was a great villain, he was the back bone to Dark Knight. Without him the story would have been anti-climactic. 2-face is one of my all time favourite villains, although he didn't get the screen time, im happy with the characters importance to the film. He gave Dark Knight the depth it needed to be one of the greatest movies ever made.... In my opinion.
I disagree with almost everything you said. But the 2-face point is the only thing i MIGHT be able to change your mind over. But i doubt it.

  29. Julián Dylan

@Michael-Kolesik Your criticism is childish. It is not about the numbers of character what matters, but the history and the narrative of the movie. Go and see "The Avengers" or "Spider-man"... You will love these films: plenty of character and devoid of ideas.
