The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

    Anyone else concerned that it's going to be pretty difficult for him to act behind that mask? Hardy is presumably going to have a pretty big role in this, and unless they overdub his speech is there not a chance he'll end up sounding like Boba Fett?

    @thedeadpool i do agree with you that the avengers does have a lot of popular characters that want to shine in this big motion picture film it would seem like if the story is not well made than its a question of who should take the credit for this movie. i would think that iron man would be the focus of this movie if the story is not written well because this story of shield started with the iron man movie. i hope its not done that way because it would really suck. i am hoping that this story is really putting the effort in and giving us a great story but i have this feeling that this movie looks like these superheroes of avengers are going to fight with each other like they did in JLA unlimited. i think hulk will fight thor and captain america will fight iron man.

    @jennifer V Your assessment on Bane is right on no dout. He is making his own look, and distancing away from the other Batman in every way to a fantastic look. And his Bane may look more this way just to distance from the POOR way he was done by Joel Shoemacker. >:) I love the look of Bane from the neck down. Mask is growing on me, slowly. >:D Just still looks a bit bulky.

    @gandoff2169 I understand what you're saying about the realism, especially relating to the Joker. Sounds like it's boiling down to aesthetics. You prefer the sleek, nylon mask look compared to this gas mask version. Which is fine, to each his own. Nolan may have been trying to keep the public from associating HIS Bane with the Bane from Batman & Robin.

    @gina39 Lots of us are semi rooting for that. It is an amazing story arc. If it goes that way, most of us will be pleased in a sense. Since now WB is going to move forward with a 4th Batman with Nolan possibly producing, it should definitely take place exactly after these events where Wayne is recovering or finished.

    i think that the dark knight rises will have a hard time beating the avengers. you got iron man, hulk, captain, thor, the shield, that is a tough movie to handle with all those superheroes. i wish the avengers would go up again the dark knight rises on its release date. it would be interesting to see who would win that race.

    @bawnian...i think you are right it looks like most of the action is going to take place at the end. this latest trailer for the dark knight rises was the most we ever seen for a teaser. it would be cool to see the classic scene from the comics where batman gets his back broken by bane. i think the audiences would go crazy.

    I like the comics, and I like Nolan's take. I'm good with both, as long as major liberties are not taken, like for instance, Thomas and Martha Wayne still alive when Bruce is Batman. That would be beyond stupid.

    On another note, I really like the fact that some girls beside @slysnide are taking part in this conversation. @gina39 @Jennifer-V You two rule.

    the dark knight rises does seem to have more action than the dark knight. so i am still waiting for a trailer and waiting to see what catwoman looks like. i hope that batman does some serious kungfu in this movie. it would cool to end this saga with the best action sequences in the movie

    @gina39 And joker fell into a tank of chemicals but in TDK he's simply a crazed maniac with clown make-up and no one complained there. Comics are comics for a reason. Bane is someone who has reached a physical peak beyond average men and that my friend, is all I want to see. Who cares if he isn't 3 feet taller in this pictures. Hell, for all we know, depending on the camera angles he might look bigger, but like I said, who cares man, we're not all as disappointed as you

    i understand your point and its a interesting point. the point i was trying to say is that it would be nice if nolan brothers and goyer who are doing the story would stick to the comic and not create something that is already done perfect. i would like to see bane in that costume and people want to see him look like a bulky wrestler type. you are right its may not be a big deal but its a big deal if they want my movie money. i will always say this that batman begins is nolan and goyers classic scripts. the rest of these movies are just what they are rush projects that people fell into the hype. so i am not going to be biases towards the dark knight rises. but i will say that the dark knight was not their greatest story. so this latest and final chapter will be interesting to see because its their last movie.

    @gandoff2169 ...Umm, the original concept for Bane had him looking like a luchador on purpose because of his heritage. It's the same idea as Batman's look, meant to be intimidating. So, yeah, he looks like a wrestler. He's supposed to.

    @McCartney @bane5000 I have faith in Nolan. There are about 5 directors that I have total faith in if they are in the lead. Nolan is one based on his Batman creation alone. Until he makes a bad movie,lol. But I do see Bane. And I have no dout the mouth piece look will have a need for his story. Just to me, in his realistic Batman world he made, the mask used on Bane right now, with no known reasoning, just looks abit 1980's WWE to me instead of real world super villain to me.

    Im thinking later on when Bats and Bane have the showdown Bane will be much bigger. These scenes look like early in the movie. Assuming that scene in the teaser is in the film, Bane looks much more imposing and Batman looks like he just took a good beating. I dont think an equal sized Bane could do that?
