The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

    I'm confused.... The story is taking place in the winter and in all the photos we see snow (even in these photos) who do you know where sandals in the winter and a obvious summer dress. I think she is just hanging out on the set.

    @narrator And it's a fair rant. You didn't nerd rage, and compare and contrasted between the complaints with Bane and the complaints with Kyle. If only more users were more fair minded when they did decide to gripe.

    You remind me of that southern sniper guy in Saving Private Ryan. You know the scene, where Tom Hanks tells him to continue :P

    She's cute, but definitely not hot, so I still have reservations about her receiving the role. She's in it (so there's no sense weeping now), and she was chosen for a reason, but Nolan doesn't have a record for having the best female characters or the best actresses playing those roles, so I at least have the right to question his decision.

    Catwoman, while intelligent, witty, and independent, is also supposed to be uber sexy, and that's not what I'm receiving from the few photos released. Thankfully, it's still too early to call, so I'm holding out for a decent surprise performance from Hathaway. Until then though, I'll be hard pressed to find her anywhere near yummy as my hope has wavered a bit, regrettably.

    Some people might say my adamant desire for her to be drop dead sexy is similar to people wanting Bane to be bigger, but I disagree, as I find that the two requests are not alike. Bane is fairly realistic as is, as Hardy stretched his human ability to be a hulking villain, without requiring anything CGI'd or overly gimmicky, to maintain the realistic illusion, thus we can't realistically ask for anything more. The same might have worked for Hathaway, in the fact that Catwoman doesn't need to be drop dead gorgeous because in real life what are the odds of a skilled thief, who parades around in a sexy catburglar suit, is also a complete babe in the real world. But that argument is also shot down because although this universe is realistic, it still keeps the basic fundaments of its characters, and one of Selina's is her amazing appearance.

    Nolan found a fair compromise for Bane physically speaking. Hathaway on the other hand looks fairly flat in the few released photos, and much like January Jones was for the Emma Frost role, I feel she'll have the chops to pull the characters charismatic dialouge off, but she'll end up tanking the role on a physical level, and yes, that is fairly important for these type of characters. We'll see as time progresses, but there's definitely been no hoots and hollers from all the people I've shown the photos too, and that doesn't bode well for Selina Kyle. There, my humble rant is complete. :P

    Anne Hathaway looks beautiful, especially in the second picture. Also, don't some of you think that chris nolan choosing a more exotic actress to play selina kyle/catwoman would be the more obvious way to go? You have to think realistically.
