The Dark Knight Rises 2012 NBA Playoffs TV Spot

Here is a strange promo for you. Warner Bros. in conjunction with the NBA has released a TV spot promoting both the upcoming 2012 NBA playoff games and director Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. There isn't a whole lot of new footage here, and its strange that the "Rise" chant is already being bastardized against images of jump shots. Watch and enjoy if you can as sports fans and comic book fans unite to form one perfect union.

The Dark Knight Rises was released July 20th, 2012 and stars Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Liam Neeson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

    Imagine if a basketball movie had a story that's as intense as The Dark Knight Trilogy.

    I just read some very detailed Man of Steel scene descriptions from one of the visual effects guys attached to the movie. I figured MW would have it up by now but they are dragging their asses.

    @thedude1 Haha, that is funny.

    I think it has to do with the fact that TNT is the network which airs The Dark Knight. An early guess would say they'll get the TV rights.

    @ridgl I could've sworn that most of that footage was shown in the trailers released for the Dark Knight Rises already.

    Wow! So much new footage!
    They should have used a bit where Bane blows up a basketball court.

    Don't understand them advertising during the NBA. I would have rather seen advertising during the hockey playoffs. Having Batman saying "I'm not wearing Hockey pads".

    haha @bawnian-dexeus Thats one basket ball game i would pay to see the entire NBA vs Batman and for the hell of it you can have Alfred and the Joker be the Anouncers. and the cheerleaders would be Harley Quinn Catwoman Poison Ivy and Talia al ghul haha.
