The CW Pulls The Graysons
The show looked at Batman's sidekick Robin in his formative years.
Apparently, Jeff Robinov, of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, simply changed his mind about going into production.
Another WB executive said that "Warner Bros. TV never had 100% clearance."
The official line from Warner Bros. is that "The studio has opted not to go forward with the development of 'The Graysons' at this time as the concept doesn't fit the current strategy for the Batman franchise... Warner Bros. Television is currently working on several replacement options for the CW."
Apparently, The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan was "uncomfortable" with there being a big screen version of the movie out in theaters at the same time that there was something Batman related on TV.

I still say I wouldn't mind seeing a live-action version of the cartoon series Batman Beyond.

The tag line for this story says, "There is no clear reason for why this show was scrapped." I disagree, the clear reason is because nobody wants to watch a series about a family of tight wearing carnies doing nothing interesting. It's a hell of a stretch to make an entertaning show about a character that has nothing interesting going on in his life before the point in which his family is killed. And we all know what happens after that. Besides all of that, Robin isn't much of a fan favorite anyway, so there just doesn't seem like there would be a big enough crowd to keep this show on the air.

It wouldn't have lasted long, anyways. With all the graphic novels out there being made into movies they should make one into a TV show.

Oh thank god! Hallelujah! I agree with you Raoul Duke, how dare they place the blame on Nolan. Besides, can you blame him for fearing that the newly invented Batman may be tarnished with these sh*tty-ass ideas?
