The Croods will now open on March 23, 2013
We reported earlier today that Disney shifted Reboot Ralph from March 22, 2013 up a few months to November 12, 2012. The studio also pushed Monsters University from November 12, 2012 to June 21, 2013. Now that Reboot Ralph is out of the way, DreamWorks Animation made the move to release The Croods three weeks later.
The Croods, which stars Nicolas Cage, centers on a family of cavemen who are forced to leave the only home they've ever known after an earthquake hits. Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders direct The Croods from a screenplay they both co-wrote.
The Croods comes to theaters March 22nd, 2013 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Nicolas Cage, Catherine Keener, Emma Stone. The film is directed by Kirk De Micco, Chris Sanders.

@dan1 - they are certainly applying more IQ points in there non-merchandised-focused release slate, but I'm still a fan of good quality, regardless of studio.
