The Coen Brothers Reveal More on Their True Grit Remake

While it was announced earlier this week that the Coen Brothers' new film had its two leading men, the Brothers themselves talked a bit more about the film itself. IGN UK spoke with the Coen Brothers about their new remake True Grit, and while they confirmed Jeff Bridges, Matt Damnon and Josh Brolin's involvement, they also spoke more about their take on the story. Here's what Ethan Coen said about the film.

"It's partly a question of point-of-view. The book is entirely in the voice of the 14-year-old girl. That sort of tips the feeling of it over a certain way. I think it's much funnier than the movie was so I think, unfortunately, they lost a lot of humour in both the situations and in her voice. It also ends differently than the movie did. You see the main character -- the little girl -- 25 years later when she's an adult."
