The Coen Brothers Cast A Serious Man

The Coen brothers have signed on Michael Stuhlbarg and Richard Kind (ABC's Spin City) to star as brothers in their upcoming period black comedy, A Serious Man.

According to Variety, the film is set in 1967 and centers on Larry Gopnik (Stuhlbarg), a Midwestern professor whose life begins to unravel when his wife sets out to leave him and his socially inept brother (Kind) won't move out of the house.

Shooting is set to start at the beginning of next month in Minneapolis.

I recently saw Sari Lennick at a play she was in during a festival in Minneapolis and she truly was exceptional. It will be exciting to see her on the big screen!

And Kind is awesome. Spin City rules but not as much as the Coen brothers! I can't wait!!!!

Sari Lennick (formerly Wagner) has signed on to play the wife. She is a friend of a friend of mine. I got to see her one woman show in NY a couple of years ago and she is hilarious!! My friend, who knows her from the master's program at the Actor's Studio Drama School, says she is always exceptional.

I loved Michael Stuhlbarg in Pillowman. This sounds like a very interesting cast!! Very exciting!!!

Well I've heard great things about these two when they work together on a movie, so this should turn out pretty good.
