The Bourne Ultimatum Tops at the International Box Office

The Bourne Ultimatum was number one at the international box office this weekend. According to Variety, this third Jason Bourne outing scared up roughly $16.5 million at 3,660 screens in 37 markets.

The film took in $5 million from locations in Germany, $3.1 million in Australia, and $2.2 million in the U.K. The film brought in the combined grosses of the next two big flicks Ratatouille and Shrek the Third. This was the third time in four weeks that The Bourne Ultimatum ranked number one overseas.

So far, the film has earned an estimated $98 million internationally.

The Bourne Ultimatum was released August 3rd, 2007 and stars Matt Damon, Julia Stiles, David Strathairn, Scott Glenn, Paddy Considine, Édgar Ramírez, Albert Finney, Joan Allen. The film is directed by Paul Greengrass.
