@Josh Thanks for the reminder on who is playing Thor. My friend really wanted Triple H to play Thor lol. Oh, and, don't get me started on Quesada.

  4. The Narrator: The Better Man

Its unlikely, but what if the new Spidey flick was being made in a more gritty and realistic manner; with a teenage approach, all due to making it have a believable story that some audiences (who won't like the Avengers flick which will be action packed with a lesser story), can relate to and go see instead. So Marvel wins the summer either way. Just thinking out loud here, but it makes sense marketing wise.

@Brian: It COULD turn out like that, you're right. After all, this is the guy who wrote X-Men: The Last Stand and Elektra. But he also wrote the Incredible Hulk, and I feel that movie is highly underrated, even after all the acclaim it's gotten as a successful reboot. He also provided the story for X2, which remains one of the greatest comic book films to date. I think Marvel has invested too heavily in this project to let this be reduced to a cheese fest. Iron Man and Incredible Hulk were great, and I have a good feeling about Thor(I'm iffy about Captain America at the moment...depends on who makes up the cast), so we haven't seen anything to really make us think it'll suck. Just like the new Nightmare on Elm Street hasn't given us a reason to bash it unless you take height into account.

    Just sayin.

Sam Raimi to direct? Christopher Nolan to oversee the film as a Godfather.

YES YES YES! :D I love how small the world has gotten because of the internet and things like Twitter... Think about writers, directors and actors sort of lived on this separate planet, now we all know what they doing each moment of everyday and there's actually ways to speak to them directly. Pretty awesome :)

Well this is exciting but what's up with Captain America? I can't imagine how this will turn out. With Favreau involved it's definitely on the right path. If Ed Norton comes back it will be awesome.

The "head of Marvel Comics" is an idiot. Anyway, good news for The Avengers. I'm psyched that Jon Favreau is staying on as Producer, and Robert Downey, Jr. and Scarlett Johanssen are rolling over to this franchise from Iron Man, and also Samuel L. Jackson and possibly William Hurt (General Ross). Nothing has been hinted on about Edward Norton... Can't wait till the other films get casted so we know the other heroes (I'm sure Thor is probably already casted, I just don't remember who is signed on to play him).
