The Narrator: The Better Man
@ghostman, @jayaottley,
Whedon knows how to work ensemble casts and balance their screen time fairly well. Never the less, the film will have a lead in the forms of Iron Man, Cap, and Thor, as their the Marvel trinity. That aside, I'm sure we'll see plenty of Hawkeye due this being his first major appearance, with a decent amount of time with Hulk, being that he's such a popular character and possible villain. If anything, Fury, Coulson, and Widow will be robbed of any major screen time, but that's to be expected. Overall, the action sequence seem to be dominating the film, but that's only because they're so hard to film and take so long. all of the plot-centered scenes are fairly easy to shoot, and we have to keep in mind that with half a dozen "superheros", each capable of carrying their own action packed film, there's bound to be a sh*t load of action, to keep up with the demand of such characters. Doesn't mean that Whedon will abandon the plot of the film for a few spectacles. Look at Serenity for proof. He got a budget far bigger than what he was used to for the show, and still it maintained the same feel of Firefly. While this isn't on the top of my must see films at the moment, it doesn't look bad.

@bane5000 So did I, but maybe they'll save more Namor/Oracle in this movie or might even explore it in Iron Man 3?

It really bothers you that much ? I don't always remember what the spoiler is usually, by the time the movie is released to theaters anyways. Plus, it isn't until 8 months from now, until it is released to theaters.

@ghostman...i wished they wouldved played out more with the Oracle concept of the film and actually got an actor they thought could play Namor in a later film and showed him being introduced to Stark when he was leaving the expo, instead of just a random guy and them say " oh this is the Oracle CEO Mr. Stark "

@jayaottley...And the part of the call sheet after that says " EXT: PARK AVE-VFX PLATE: The leviathan head comes to a rest on the street."...i think that just means that the alien ship lands on the street , which we see from the point of view of the front or " head " of the ship as it makes its landing and " comes to rest "

@jayaottley I did forget the only movie of his I really enjoyed was Serenity. But you have a very good point sir there have been a hell of a lot of explosions seen thus far, but i really hope it doesn't destroy the story, cause I know the story has to be pretty awesome.

@thrashnasty190 Remember he is good at doing it in shows, not films. And shows are completely different to film, they allow more room for screen-time and development. Just look at the news for this films, action sequences of destruction here and there and everywhere.
The action will jizz over every aspect of this film, and i'll be surprised if it doesn't

@ghostman Lol I forgot about cramming all the heroes in there ha. I really hope they don't over do it though, right now I'm more excited for The Avengers than Batman, and that's painful for me to say lol. Whedon's good at cramming a bunch of characters into a show/film so I have faith in this. @jayaottley I pray to God almighty Whedon doesn't go all Baysplosion on us haha.

@ghostman Same i just seing this film being bombarded with action with a story and acting performances that will be overshined by the glory of action.... Haha, sounds like a Michael Bay film :D

@jayaottley Depeneds on if every actor can get enough screen-time besides the action scenes. I don't want Iron Man be in it for 45min of the film, while Thor or Hulk might get 15min of screen-time..it needs to be evenly sorted out. That's my only worries...

@ghostman I think the story has got lost under all the action and the same will be said for the final product of the film, also reckon the action will perform over the acting performances of these A-list actors.
But i guess only time will tell

@jayaottley I believe that Whedon can make a really fun movie packed with action and a good story! just be optimistic, i'm sure it'll be an exciting summer movie :)

@ghostman I'm becoming devoided of high-class blockbusters and resorting to the envisaged beauty of world cinema.
The Avengers has been completely spoiled, its going to be an action-packed piece of superhero garbage, overhyped and over glorified thats losing its shine as it gradully goes on.
I'm more interested in TAS 3D & TDKR

@jayaottley Guess we might just have to wait and see :) who knows, maybe it is a sea monster which would of been a huge surprise had it not been spoiled for us :/

@ghostman The whole ideal of the ship makes sense, i reckon its the name of the lead ship of the skulls or kree.
I doubt its a monster, that would push people away from this, I also reckon your looking to much into little easter eggs in the previous films

@thrashnasty190 It's already crammed if they're having the entire Avengers team (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow) not to mention Loki and his army of Skrulls/Kree and possibly Atlanteans that might have some type of 'Leviathan creature'. This movie will be packed with characters and tons of action; hopefully they have enough time to focus on the story and make it at least 2hrs and 30min long and not the usual hour and 55minutes like the previous films.

Lord McLovin of MovieWeb
@jayaottley It might be like, the Skrull/Kree's huge battleship which makes sense with the description of the Quinjet crashing but even if it was an actual sea monster which makes sense since there was a marker pointed out in the Atlantic on the map near the end of Iron Man 2, which makes sense.

@ghostman I doubt it, it sounds like too much of a big risk. This call sheet is calling on destruction in NY, so its pretty clear this is part of a action sequence within the film, maybe the climax.
I doubt Avengers will end to a cliffhanger, because its suppose to be a resolution to its singular predesscor instalments.
I see the bad guys just being Hulk, Loki and The Skrulls and the Leviathan is either the name of the Skrulls ship or a specific skrull alien, that's more bad ass, maybe he looks slightly like the mythical monster but his a skrull.
Unless Loki calls forth the actually Leviathan itself, but then that would just be awful and well begin to look like a spiderman 3 recap

@ghostman I would kinda like to see the Skrulls and Namor and Loki battling The Avengers, but I just hope whoever the baddies are they don't try to cram way too much into this film, don't need another Spidey 3 fiasco lol

@jayaottley Well, maybe this supposed creature will attack near the end, and that'll be the cliff-hanging ending to the movie?
9 months agoby @ghostmanFlag
Jay.A.Ottley
@ghostman Yeah but that makes it sound really complexed for a big budget blockbuster movie and would the studio really go ahead with something so complicated... Because remember after all, audiences are dumb. As far as it comes it my noggin, the skrulls, hulk and Loki are the baddies, adding in all those others make it seems too packed and plus they'll need room for a sequel if they're going to plan one
9 months agoby @jayaottleyFlag
Lord McLovin of MovieWeb
@jayaottley @bane5000 @thrashnasty190 Remember in Iron Man 2, at the Stark Expo they had a giant environmental dome called 'Oracle' which ties in with Prince Namor, plus in the end of the movie, they had a 'SHIELD Detection' maker in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean; since Tom Hiddleston said that Loki was traveling through different Realms, so The Avengers could have multiple enemys from different Realms such as the Skrulls, the Kree, and now speculating the Atlanteans could 'help' or 'battle' against Loki and/or this 'creature'.
9 months agoby @ghostmanFlag
Jay.A.Ottley
@bane5000 That actually does sound logical by the sound of the call sheet, notice how 1 call shot says Alien gunship fires hits the cafe.
Sorry i just can't imagine, Marvel blowing big ass SFX money on a Leviathan to battle the Avengers, and also imagine how cheestastical that would make the film would look, that would push people away from the film, not bring them towards it.
So yeah basic logic... Its either the name of the ship or a specific alien, that bares similarity to a leviathan
