The first full-length trailer for Marvel and director Joss Whedon's epic superhero adventure The Avengers has finally arrived. Marvel's The Avengers was released May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

    This Movies looks rubbish already - I didnt want to see another Thor Movie. The sound track for the trailer is from Transformers OMG Captin A - suite looks sh*t like a home made GIMP suite!!!

    @Rashon-Wilson First of all, This whole series of films has mixed the Marvel Universe proper and the Ultimate Universe. If it didn't, Sam Jackson wouldn't be Nick Fury, now would he? Secondly, there is simply no point in having Wasp on the team if Hank Pym isn't there as well. They go hand in hand. If you want to complain about how Ant-Man and his wife are not there, even though they should be, you have a good point, but if your only singling out Janet's absence, then you're off base. Thirdly, while while Scarlet Witch and Miss Marvel, along with a few other female superheroes have indeed been Avengers, they came later on, not at the beginning. It wouldn't feel right, especially in the case of Scarlet Witch, who would probably have to be introduced in an X-Men film with Quicksilver before moving to The Avengers. Fourthly, Black Widow doesn't have superpowers. So friggin what? Remember, she is a spy working for SHIELD. She, Hawkeye, and Agent Coulson are the connections to Fury and his crew. By the way, Hawkeye has no superpowers, Fury doesn't, Stark has a super-powered suit, but he is a regular guy as well. The only members of the team with powers are Thor, Hulk, and Cap. What you can take from that last statement is while it is true that Widow has no "powers," she is not the only mere mortal on the team.

    First of all black widow was only on the team in the ultimate version, and she never really had a big part in the avengers so im very dissapointed that she is the only female hero in the movie, and she has no powers so lame, Wasp was on the original team and she was leader of the team at one point so she should have been in this movie. Also Scarlet Witch magnetos daughter has been on the Avengers team for a long time as well, also Miss Marvel, but I guess they didnt want any strong female heroes to compete with the men, so sad we come so far as a civilization when it comes to equal whatever that means, yet we take 100 steps back. not going to see this movie. I understand that these movies dont and wont follow the comic books but at least give the fans real female superheroes

    @ghostman Hmm, didn't think of that. For the most part X-Men has been decent. Fantastic Four though, I think thinking of that lowered the bar for me a bit.

    @ROFLitschristian The only problem I have when it comes to The Avengers is I hope it doesn't fail like the Fantastic Four films or some of the X-Men movies (not counting X1, X2, and First Class) but seeing from the footage we have so far, I trust in them that' they will do greatly.

    @ghostman True. I wasn't paying attention. There's no true Marvel film without the whole gang. Could you imagine that film though? All those amazing actors and actresses in one film? And I don't mean in a New Year's Eve kind of film cast. I mean a good film cast.

    i do have a ? for you guys

    which film will make more money will it be

    1-the dark knight rises

    2-the amazing spider man

    3- the avengers.

    i think that the war of the comic book movies will be between
    the dark knight rises and the avengers.

    dark knight seriously needs a new trailer for me to judge on. i just been hearing so much negativity on the movie where anne h. is not the right choice for catwoman.

    spiderman does have a chance in being a big hit because andrew garfield is an amazing actor and if he pulls this off he may get a role in the future avengers films. i hope that the avengers if they make a sequel that they put spiderman in the next one.

    so i think the winner so far is The avengers. as being the big winner for the comic book movie wars . but i will not rule out dark knight yet. being that this is nolan's last making of the film...i will give it a chance. i need to see bane in action and is it going to be an action packed as nolan and goyer have said.

    i do agree that mark ruffalo, hawkeye and black widow have a lot on their plate if the fans really do love these characters then i can see a movie being made where mark will take over as the hulk, hawkeye will have his own movie and black widow will have her own movie.

    like i said...Robert's performance will dominate the screen because he was born to play iron man. i see he will have all the funny parts. i think that captain america will have tension with iron man and thor.

    hey everyone...i just saw this trailer and its looks very good. this looks like an action packed film. i like that its not a bootleg where people are cheering. i notice that Iron man seems to be the main player in this movie. Captain america looks better without the mask. Thor has a new look i hope that Natalie portman is not going to be in this and why is no ones respecting hawkeye, black widow or the hulk. its sad that ed norton will not be in this movie. I give this trailer an A+++++

    @sean That sentence totally contradicts itself: first you said there won't be another Hulk film, then you ask if Ruffalo will play Bruce Banner in another Hulk film? Anyways..my thoughts are if Ruffalo's performance is praised by the critics and fans, then they might make another Hulk film with him in it.

    Hulk has always been a tough sell to the audience for movie adaptations.. Having already gone through three different actors, and the first 2 Hulk films being mediocre at the box office earning around 150 million, hopefully having the Hulk appear in The Avengers will make Marvel about making another Hulk film.

    @ROFLitschristian They can't do Civil War since Paramount doesn't own rights to Wolverine, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Dare Devil...goes etc etc. Best you could hope for is a Skrulls Secret Invasion for the third film.
