The Avengers star Chris Evans took a break from filming the superhero ensemble in New Mexico over the weekend to present an award at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. The actor revealed on the red carpet that, due to the isolated nature of New Mexico, the cast is bonding together in their off time.
Chris Evans says The Avengers cast is bonding in New Mexico
"We're stuck in Albuquerque, no one is from there, no one knows what to do, so when we're done with work if we have a weekend, we all go get dinner, grab a drink, go to someone's house. It actually feels like a team."
Chris Evans also talked about his scenes with the entire Avengers group where, unlike his starring role in Captain America: The First Avenger, he is not the only superhero on the set.
The actor also praised director Joss Whedon, for his ability to reign in all of these superhero characters into one ensemble.
"It's going great. It's not an easy task for Joss
to incorporate all these characters, and not only is he doing a fantastic job, but everyone is getting along so well. In my experience, when you do a movie with a lot of big stars, it feels like you work and then you go [home]. There's a lot of camaraderie. We hang out together, we spend time together."
