The Amazing Spider-Man Peter Parker Goes Gutter Punk Photo
The Amazing Spider-Man is currently in post-production, working towards a summer release date of July 3. A new photo has been released featuring Andrew Garfield, who appears to be sporting a Ramones t-shirt while hanging out in a dark alley. Click on the photo below to access our growing gallery for The Amazing Spider-Man, then watch as the Ramones show their own love for Spidey.
Although, I do have to admit - "gutter punk"? "Sporting a Ramones t-shirt while... 'hanging out in a dark alley'"? These descriptions are laughable and if they ring true, which is a big if, we are talking Spider-Man 3 all over again -- oh darn, did I just blaspheme? I did. We are not supposed to speak Raimi's trilogy titles in here. I forgot, lol. But, remember the "Parker goes emo" thing? Ugh erase from memory, erase from memory...
@craig-bosko Parker is only a nerd in high school because he's a science honors major and anti-social. That is until he meets "the gang" in college - Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacy, and Harry Osborn - Flash who he went to high school with and got beat up a few times by. Then he befriends Harry and brings MJ around, who's a smokin' hottie, and Flash the alpha male gets envious, so he gets inducted into their circle. He takes MJ out a few times but ends up dating Gwen Stacy, who has a thing for him from the moment they met. During his time in college he is no longer a nerd and from there on he is not a nerd anymore. Gwen was a blonde bombshell and she chose Parker - that did wonders for his street cred. Then not to mention he steals party girl and ravishing redhead MJ from Harry and Parker ends up with a sweet deal. He goes on to teach at the old high school as well. Dude leads a pretty successful life.
I know this is in high school, but they also have Gwen there, so I wouldn't suppose he's a nerd in the entire film like Maguire's whiny portrayal was. Maybe in the beginning before the spider.
The publicity about this film is so U N D E R W H E L M I N G . Sack the press guys. A good press can guy can even make rubbish like the Green Lantern look good . Every picture released makes this movie look MORE boring . If you havent got anything good to show us then don't show us !
I think the next trailer will say a lot about where this film is going. I'm hoping so, at least....because the pictures sure as sh*t haven't done a lot for this film. Every other pic we've gotten has been of Peter Parker looking like a slighly-emo, grungy-looking high school student.
In other words, it's been pretty hard to tell that it's even a comic book film. The promotional guys on this film need to take a few queues from the guys over at The Dark Knight Rises, who have been on the mark with delivering photos/videos that show the good stuff but also don't reveal TOO much.

I never read the comics but isn't Peter Parker supposed to be a bit of a nerd? This guy is way too stylish. Maybe Urban Outfitters is a sponsor.
