I personally love the humility shown in this clip. It might not have been the most interesting scene but it shows confidence by not exposing us to a central fight scene or iconic shot of our web crawler in action...

The Narrator: The Better Man
Well, seeing as how one of the three co-writers on the project was the screenwriter for Spider-Man 2, it makes sense that there would be some familiarity. As for the dialouge, it's fine. Awkward, because we're thrust into it, but it's a clip. The sound mixing likely wasn't completed because they'd usually have a humorous score of sorts playing at the time. Take it easy folks, and think for a second.
Of the three screenwriters who worked on this film, one worked on Zodiac and The Losers, one co-wrote Spider-Man 2, and the other worked on the screenplays for every single one of the Harry Potter films. Seems like a fairly good team to me.

I don't get what the hullabaloo is about. It was a clip, a free sample. The scene was easy on the eyes and the conversation seemed real enough. I wouldn't expect them to show us the very best they have with their first clip, just a taste of the everyday Parker :P

Surprised Larry Miller isn't playing the role of the doorman. Who got the reference? :P

@ghostman Yeah, I thought the same thing. Whoever wrote this obviously watched Spidey 2 one too many times.

I liked this actually; it comes off realistic and the response is very Peter Parker. It's a clip, people, settle down.

why does it seem like they are making the dialogue up on the spot. Is this Mumble core Spider-Man?
