    I liked Spider man 2 I just hated the parts where they had him fighting wit no mask on but I think this reboot will be good just can't get over that crap that was part 3

    @RENO-CONRINTHOS Spider-man IS an orphan. Even in his debut in Amazing Fantasy #15 he was an orphan raised by his aunt and uncle. Also, they've hinted from very early on that the reboot is drawing much of it's inspiration from the Ultimate Spiderman comic books, which are one of the furthest from the original spiderman origin. This would make sense seeing as they're starting the story with him still in high school, which is when a majority of the Ultimate comics takes place. Sam Raimi's first Spiderman film was actually very close to the early Spider-man origin story, aside from cutting some key characters (such as Gwen Stacy, who isn't introduced until Spiderman 3) the original film only makes minor changes, and Spiderman 2 is still one of the best Marvel superhero films made thus far. Spiderman 3 was the only real deal breaker in the series, and even that was still enjoyable on a surface level, despite being a pretty bad Spiderman story.

    SORRY I'M A SUPPORTER OF THIS REBOOT RAIMI'S VERSION WASN'T ALL THAT SPIDERMAN ALWAYS FIGHTING WIT HIS MASK OFF SPIDERMAN 3 WAS PURE CRAP VENOM ONLY IN THE FILM FOR 15 MINUTES LOVE THE FACT THE REBOOT FOCUSES ON HIS ORIGIN CLOSE TO THE COMICS THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN. THEY NEVER SPOKE ABOUT SPIDERMAN PARENTS IN THE ORIGINAL MOVIE LIKE HE WAS ADOPTED GET REAL !!! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS

    the second picture looks like a 22 year old version of Harry Potter.

    I liked Raimi's version too much...And I think that's the main reason why a lot of people may hate this version. Toby may not have been great but it did get three films.

    Will this version have a trilogy? Or will it suffer, I guess we have to wait and see.

    I think most people here are to wrapped up in the older films that raimi directed. PLease take another look. with the exception of Doc Ock, the series was crap. People have been complaining that this new one looks too dark and spiderman will not have his smart-ass edge. I should remind you tobey never offered that in his spiderman role, and there is much more to complain about. It was said by the director that this spiderman will be true to the character. Everyone here needs to give it a chance. you will be blown away I think.

    @daveactor7 @ChiRep-1 - Slow down, fellas. I actually agree that this could still be good.....We're just ripping on the marketing strategy thus far and what it has consisted of. There really isn't much debate that what Sony has released so far has been pretty crap....but I'm sure whatever comes next will impress.

    ......well, it BETTER impress, otherwise they are screwed.

    Has what they have released so far, been complete sh*t? Absolutely

    Is there potential? Of course

    Will the film be good? Who the hell knows

    @daveactor7 - Well the reason why the pictures were released were for the fans to get a peak and see if they're interested in the film. i agree with @k-man and @lilzook when they say meh. Although I do have faith that this movie will be good because of its cast and crew, so far none of the marketing campaigns have even slightly peaked my interest. The next trailer better blow peoples minds.

    I wonder if Sony is sh*tting themselves right now with the line-up that other studios have, which they will be competing against.

    One of there only HUGE summer tent-poles (Spiderman) has yet to impress anyone (I'm speaking for the people I know), therefore, they could *potentially* lose money this coming year if they dont start a decent promotional campaign that shows something other than a kid in laboratory, a kid in a school or a kid in a suit in a school.

    PRETTY DAMN WEAK SO FAR.
