The Amazing Race Gets Renewed for a 15th Season

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has picked up The Amazing Race for a 15th cycle season.

History was made when this renewal was made known via Twitter. The host of the show, Phil Keoghan posted this on the social networking site on Thursday: "Great news. Just got the call from the network. CBS has ordered another season of The Amazing Race "

Once making things known on Twitter, CBS then went through their normal news channels with a regular news release, that gave more information about the network's plans for the show.

Casting for the show is currently happening.

The host Keoghan is currently "on a 40-day, 3,500-mile bike ride across America." The ride ends in New York City on May 9, which is one day before the finale of The Amazing Race 14.

He is slated to appear at the following castings calls: Chicago (April 24), Pittsburgh (May 1) and New York (May 8).

    I realize a lot of times it is a money issue, but don't think for a minute reality shows are that cheap to make.
