The 2009 Razzie Winners!

The winners of the 29th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards were revealed this past Saturday, and it looks like The Love Guru and The Hottie & the Nottie have tied with three wins apiece. Here is the official press release, followed by a complete list of the winners:

The 29th Annual RAZZIE® Awards. Dis-Honoring Worst Achievements in Film for 2008:

At least someone loved The Love Guru. Voters for The 29th Annual RAZZIE Awards spread the dis-honors around this year, but gave several of their berry biggest trophies to one of 2008's most notorious box office losers, Mike Myers' misbegotten, far-from-mystical "comedy" The Love Guru. In addition to being named the year's Worst Picture, The Love Guru also received spray-painted gold for its screenplay and Myers as Worst Actor, in intentionally tacky ceremonies held on "Oscar Eve" at the Barnsdall Theatre in Hollywood.

But the former SNL star wasn't the year's biggest RAZZIE winner/loser. That dis-stink-tion belongs to "sex-tape-celeb-utant" Paris Hilton, who tied Eddie Murphy's hat-trick from 2007, taking a record-tying 3 trophies in a single year. For her "starring" performance in Worst Picture nominee The Hottie & the Nottie (which Hilton herself executive-produced) the air-headed heiress was gonged for both Worst Actress and as part of the year's Worst Screen Couple (along with co-stars Christine Lakin and Joel David Moore). And for her mostly-left-on-the-cutting-room floor cameo in the "slasher musical" Repo! the Genetic Opera!, she was chosen Worst Supporting Actress.

Others roundly RAZZed in the 90-minute Oscar parody included Pierce Brosnan as Worst Supporting Actor for his tone-deaf turn in Mamma Mia! The year's third-biggest grossing (and most disappointing) movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull "won" as Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel and world-class worst movie-maker Uwe Boll took both the 2008 Worst Director RAZZIE® (for 3 titles) and a well-deserved special Worst Career Achievement dis-honor.

"Winners" were determined by mailing ballots to 657 voters in 45 U.S. states and 19 foreign countries. The RAZZIES® were created in 1980 as a logical antidote to Tinsel Town's annual glut of self-congratulatory awards by John Wilson, author of THE OFFICIAL RAZZIE® MOVIE GUIDE and EVERYTHING I KNOW I LEARNED AT THE MOVIES. The Barnsdall Theatre is a facility of the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.

The Winners:

Worst Picture: The Love Guru

Worst Actor: Mike Myers for The Love Guru

Worst Actress: Paris Hilton for The Hottie & the Nottie

Worst Supporting Actress: Paris Hilton for Repo! the Genetic Opera!

Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off, or Sequel: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Worst Screenplay: Tie for The Love Guru and The Hottie & the Nottie

Worst Career Achievement: Uwe Boll (Germany's Answer to Ed Wood)

i had no problem with indiana jones but the rest of this crap deserved to be here. The love guru just shows how mike meyers can't come up with new jokes and uses the same old jokes from austin powers and i haven't seen the other crap but seeing the trailers was punishing enough.

The only ones i agree with are The Hottie and The Nottie, In The Name Of The King, Postal, and Indiana Jones. The Love Guru granted it wasn't a good movie is better then a lot of the crap that came out last year. 1968 Tunnel Rats was actually a decent film from Boll but Boll bashing is trendy nowadays so everything gets written off as excruciatingly bad. He deserves worst career achievement though

How Uwe Boll didn't win for Worst On-screen couple with his camera and scripts is beyond me. Oh well. Better luck next year.

I will second all of what marcus has said. Pierce Brosnan took a complete nosedive in my book once he decided to take on Mamma Mia! My boycott of Indy 4 still stands. Lollerskates at Uwe Boll for yet again proving he is a worthless attempt at a human being.

The Razzies are a very credible source in the movie world and a wake up call to all of the moviegoers who feel these movies were worth while. The world has spoken, and you have been voted off.

    Vamp this is to you...

I have never really had any discomfort with any of your comments.

Hell, we have even long optimistic views of similar thought towards the same movies.

But I gotta tell ya, although I haven't commented lately, I have read almost ALL of your comments while skimming thru these news articles and I always seem to find myself with pliers in hand attempting to rip the nails from my fingertips in order to distract the visual pain my eyes feel when reading your opinions. Indiana Jones 4 was one of the WORST movies I have ever seen. Any movie with Paris Hilton deserves not only a Razzie award, but also to be locked in a vault along with and anything made by Uwe Boll, Aaron Selter, Jason Friedberg and The National Lampoons Company and launched straight into the sun along with the low rent ridiculous pop stars such as Lil Wayne, Kevin Federline, all those homo indie bands who wear girl jeans that are so tight it looks like they were applied with spray paint to bare skin and last but not least, the cast of High School Musical.

Mama Mia is unbearably stupid and I swear to god if I read one more opinionated comment about how "Mamma Mia!" deserved absolutely NO Razzies, and neither did "Repo! The Genetic Opera." "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was an awesome movie, and "The Love Guru" was hilarious!" Im going to f*cking kill myself.
