It seems that a new director has landed a talented trio of actors for his new film. According to Screen Daily, Thandie Newton, Jason Issacs and David Tenant have all signed on for Retreat.

The film will center on a troubled couple (Newton and Issacs) who take some time off on a remote island to try and heal their relationship. The trip takes a nasty turn when a sickly military man (Tenant) appears at their doorstep and tells them that a virus is claiming the lives of millions back on the mainland.

Tibbetts will direct from a script he co-wrote with Janice Hallett, and production was said to begin this May in Canada.
