To the Wonder tells the story of Marina (Kurylenko) and Neil (Affleck), who meet in France and move to Oklahoma to start a life together, where problems soon arise. While Marina makes the acquaintance of a priest and fellow exile (Bardem), who is struggling with his vocation, Neil renews a relationship with a childhood sweetheart, Jane (McAdams). Bold and lyrical, the film is a moving, gorgeously shot exploration of love in its many forms.

@zanyzap More people swimming in water and low-angle tree shots! On another note, what did you think of The Master?

the Narrator
Absolutely, @dan1. Almsot as good as his Lawless and Knight of Cups cast which are equally stacked in talent. One thing stands true about Malick - he always draws the stars.

@narrator I didn't know that, but I agree. Either way, with so many films coming back-to-back, you're right; it does raise the question of quality, albeit for better or worse.

the Narrator
Makes you wonder how the overall quality might be, @thedude-abides. For all we know, it might improve, eh? After all, he's famous for editing films and scripts well into post-pro and ultimately altering the original films plot or characters drastically without the screenwriters or his actors consent. Maybe having so many films back to back will allow him to stick to what was planned for a change.

About damn time. Malick has five films to his credit for a career that spans 4 decades; he has three coming out in 2013.
