Terminator 5 Confirms R Rating

Terminator 5 will be R rated
Terminator 5 will be R rated
As has been dually noted, fans are less than pleased that The Expendables 2 will arrive in theaters tagged with a PG-13 rating. Those fearing the same neutered fate might happen with Terminator 5 can rest assured, though, that despite Terminator Salvation having a PG-13 rating, Arnold Schwarzenegger's return to this popular franchise will be slapped with a big, fat, juicy, dripping with meat and vicera, red R.

Those ponies over at theterminatorfans.com reached out to current Terminator franchise rights holders Annapurna Pictures, begging that this upcoming sequel be rescued from "the brink of PG-13 Hell".

In turn, Megan Ellison, owner and president of Annapurna Pictures, made a statement promising that this would not be a Terminator for ten-year-old children.

"We can't really tell you guys anything about Terminator 5 . But it will be an R rated film as God and James Cameron intended."

No further details have been revealed at this time.

Terminator 5 is in development and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film is directed by Justin Lin.

I think Arnold Schwarzenegger will be returning in Terminator 5. It says in the very bottom of the article that he is returning.

I must've missed an article or two, cause last I checked, there was a bidding war over the franchise following the bankruptcy of the parent company. It's gotta bring something new to work. Each film had a new element. "Judgement Day" had the mercury man and origin of the machines; "Rise..." had the skynet takeover; "Salvation" was a montage of the war in the future; The original of course introduced the whole thing. So this fifth installment has to bring something new to the franchise rather than being a pointless sequel. At least it'll be getting an 'R' rating, but let's hope not just cause of a few close ups, and that the content's really in there.

@the-tall-guy Exactly dude, I'd honestly have a good PG-13 movie than some mindless R-rated crap like Conan The Barbarian where they just put in as much random sh*tty violence in for the sake of an R rating. I'm sure Cameron never "aimed" for an R rating, he just made the film he wanted to make and went with whatever rating he got.

You know, just because it's gonna be R-rated, doesn't mean it's gonna be good. For example: AVP-R, The Devil Inside. Give me a plot summary first before I go along with what this movie's doing.

Now thats breaking news!, and a very good one. Rated R, beats pg13, by alot iyes i know there r lots of great films done in pg13, but im saying, when dealing w R.. u can do more and say more, , and on pg13, theres only so much you can do/day to keep it under the radar. Anyhow, i hope this movie breathes new life into the whole thing.
Althought, i kinda hope these movies get canned and get rebooted, I hate the fact that each movie takes 4-5 yrs to make, by then the actors either lose intrest, get old, or pass away..
We need to have 1 of those films where the same cast (or whoever lives) return. and the story needs to b done ahead of time, not make 1 dilm then have no idea how to start from the last1, admit it. Arnold is getting old fast, lost to much time in office. he prob has enough in him, for another 3 films then its over for him. We need a young terminator and i dont mean de-age these actors. i mean, start a reboot/remake, get young cast, like in their 30s, and take it from there, either way, i cant wait for this1, its been sooooo long!
