Terminator 4 Is on Hold

Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson currently hold the rights to Terminator 4. According to Variety, they have had to sue MGM for interfering in the planned distribution of the proposed sequel.

The Halcyon Company, which is run by Kubicek and Anderson, acquired the rights to Terminator 4 in May. According to the complaint, filed in L.A. Superior Court on Wednesday, MGM claimed it had acquired an exclusive 30-day negotiation window for "T4" in the 1990s Orion Pictures bankruptcy. Basically, MGM is saying that they have the rights to put the movie into theaters, but Halcyon would rather distribute the film through a different company.

What does that mean for us, the audience? It means that we won't be able to see another Terminator film until this mess is cleared up in court. Oh, well. There's always The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Hmm, did that even make it to a series?

Terminator Salvation was released May 21st, 2009 and stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood, Helena Bonham Carter, Anton Yelchin, Jadagrace, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common. The film is directed by McG.

    anthrax can be treated. assassinations are quick and to the point. im so glad JLA and now T4 are both on hold. they are both ridiculous ideals put into the hands of some greedy bastards who care nothing about expansion or in depth character development. now the only news i wana hear about either of these subjects is that they have been cancelled indefinitely

    Is Arnold the Governator even in this series? Anyway I'm ready for a Good story rather than poorly spoken austrian english. Damn studios and their litigation crap getting in the way of us seeing some good movies.
    Really hate the movie industry but Love the films.

    What would the rating be? Probably PG13/12A again. Thats why im not interested. The first film was genuinly scary. The 2nd had great special effects and the least said about the third the better. I'd fear the worst for the fourth.
