No way, Gears, Halo and Bioshock r the three best games for movie adaptations. not only would they make the coolest movies but their games r already just awesome and have enough story to them that a screen writer wouldn't have to make up much, which normal results in the movie suckin.

I'd rather see Resistance turned into a film other than GOW.

Len Wiseman, dropped GOW a while back, its still waiting for a director and screenwriter. Apparently the dude that wrote the novel Gears Of War: Aspho Fields, is penned to write the script.
Don't know about Atlantis though.
I just don't ever see GOW, Halo or Bioshock making a the big screen debut, because they are highly praised games, that will need big crew people and production studios aint so big on handing out money just like that for game to film adaptations

i didn't even think of Kate for April, that would work. i also didn't know that Wiseman was attached to Gears of War or Atlantis, i didn't know Gears was actually getting made.

No BD and J.A. Len Wiseman is too busy with Gears of War and Atlantis. And I don't think this is his type of film. Snyder would be cool doing this, but not fully his type of movie. I think Singer ain't so bad, but most likely I want James McTeigue to look into this. And Kate for April is a good choice.

Synder does have awesome visual direction, but i fear his style will become too repetitive, but i guess Sucker-Punch holds the verdict on that.
Bryan Singer, is good but he likes to complicate the script too much that it becomes hard to place on screen or too much is jammed together so the story is too over-developed like Superman Returns.
I like the thought of Len Wisemen, and your point is strengthen by the simple fact of how good he is at prosthetic work and that he has done action, so he is familiar with the genre. The work on Underworld was really neat.
Also i can imagine Kate Beckingsale as April, which is another factor why i like your choice of Len Wiseman.

alright and in case we all don't like Bryan Singer, how bout Len Wiseman, cuz some of u r saying that part of the reason del toro would be good is for the prosthetic work in Hellboy 1 & 2, well Len Wiseman had good prosthetic work for the Lycans in Underworld 1 & 2, he can also direct action, thoughts?

alright Ottley i agree bout Snyder's bullet time matrixesque style bein over used, but aside form that i think his visuals r awesome and the sets he uses r so vivid and memorable i think he would work well with the turtles, but...
if not Snyder how bout Bryan Singer, as far as i know he isn't doin much right now, plus we know he can do action and he also has a style to him that i think would suit the turtles, u think he would be good?

Completely agree with you Comrade, Del Toro is one of the best fantasy directors ever, alongside Jackson. Which is main reason i'm amped for The Hobbit.
LOL @ Ridley Scott Presents....(don't give Hollywood ideas)
I couldn't agree more than the dude that stated about the costumes in Hellboy 1 & 2, they were amazing and yes, this film should be done like that.
To Chad...
This is a reboot, in which a reboot is just another fancy word for remaking a franchise but from its origin, hence forth why they call it an origin story to drift away from the cliche word Reboot/Remake.
Reboot...Remake...Origin Story (all the same concepts really).

What the hell for? BIG MISTAKE.
Another stupid remake. What a load of crap!

Yeah, but Del Toro works better in fantasy, and this is more Sci-Fi action than anything...

They better not make the turtles CGI. They need to do what they did in the very first live action movie and I think if they go that route Del Toro would be awesome because of the work on Hellboy 2. The costumes in that movie were unbelievable and I think he would see to it that the turtles were bitchin awesome.

LOL @ Battletoads, awww god that bring back memories.
I was stating that as someone esle pointed out it will be live action blended with CGI, and look how those movies have turned out...Scobby Doo, Alvin...etc etc.
Ok on to my agreements and disagreements.
Agree with LEO, the origin story is getting kind of rinsed out so to speak, but the origin stories are interesting and people are intersted by these especially to ones they don't know the origins to or ones that have been created in perfected mannerisms and styles of the franchise like Star Trek and then we have had the disappointing ones which fail like Wolverine (my opinion) and Star Wars Prequel Trilogy.
The reason they fail is because we know the origin already, and they way these prequels are done is that they are done in such a cliche manner, that they no longer become interesting than they were when they were stated through dialogue in their sequels via the backstory.
A prequel has to be interesting, the viewer needs to know as little as possible, not the full story from its sequels.
Agree with the people noting Del Toro for this project, yes he would be fantastic for this problem is he is booked up until 2017, he has more work lined up after the Hobbit actually, as for he is doing his own versions to Frankenstein and Dracula, which i'm interested for despite they are a long way off.
Agree with Comrade, not every genre that a specifid praised director from a genre touches turns to cold, Spielberg had his ups and downs, so did Bay, Del Toro and as noted previously so did Ridley Scott.
Disagree with TheBD, for noting Synder for this project, it is an awesome idea, but Synder artistic and so called visionary style is becoming too cliche. We will have turtles fighting in Bullet-time, which i tired of in every Synder film
