No production date has been set.

Hmm, they already picked writers once. Wonder if this will ever come out. And what changes they will make like they are doing with the new series. I don't think it will be true to form since Mirage let go of the property.

The pic looks cool, but it's not gonna be good I can already tell. All the other movies sucked. In order for it to be good, it'd have to be a serious movie, and obviously it's not gonna be any time soon.

@darkmarkman... Seriously man, that would make it even more awesome and back to the look of the first film. Its funny, a while back i was looking for the dvd of the first Turtles, but was only able to find it with the entire trilogy, so i bought it, kept the first for me, gave my niece and nephew part 2 and threw away part 3, cuz we all know how that movie turned out to be lol

@bane5000 I totally agree. I personally would love a reboot along the lines of Batman Begins.

live action and give it the dark gritty feel of the first, though it was a childrens movie, the first was still darker then its sequels

The practical effects I've heard for this is nerve-settling. Like what I hear! :)

  13. TheDude1

The movie has to be live action like the first three movies or it will be just as awful as TMNT back in 2007.

something is telling me that this will NOT be out in 2011. just a hunch.

@skywise Your not a bad person. I completey agree but I do want things from the 80s cartoon such as excessive pizza eating, Channel 6 news crew and Krang; however I count Krang in with my want of an appearance by multiple Ultroms.

@jptheredskull I really hope they maintain the comic book tone beacuse as you said they were dark and some were pretty damn violent. But....I dont think they will go with the blood and guts turtles that i would LOVE to see.

...does that make me a bad person =P

@account-closed It has been stated on other sites with this news that the film will draw heavily among the original comics which were very dark and are what inspired the dark tones in the 1990s Turtles film.

@nautical05 Actually, the way they described it was the they would be using practical suits with cgi, possibly motion capture, only being used to perfect the movement and expressions on the turtle's faces as that was the biggest issue of the suits in the previous movies.

@jptheredskull - very true. Hopefully that remains the same.
@account-closed - the first was def the best, darker is better (most cases)

@jptheredskull Personally, the less CGI the better. The first was remarkable and i wish they would do it that way again.

@jasonkat @nautical05 @account-closed If you remember from whenthis film was first announced, They said this film would be live-action with the turtles being a mix of cgi (possibly motion capture) and practical suits.
